CARLOS MARRERO
Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Carlos Marrero later moved to the USA to study Fashion Illustration, though his love of fashion led him to Chicago where he studied at the prestigious School of the Art Institute of Chicago, were he became a professor shortly after graduating in 1989.
After working with high profile magazines including Vogue, Cosmopolitan, The New York Times, Glamour, Entertainment Weekly, In Style Magazine, and People, Marrero set out to launch his eponymous label of silk wrappings, The Marrero Collection, in 2015, and has gained a name for himself with exquisite silk scarves that flow and flatter the female form.
Most recently, his designs have been seen on fashionistas like Caitlyn Jenner and Cynthia Bailey from The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

The Marrero Collection is a compilation of alluring statement pieces designed for the fashionista looking for unique fashion items without the couture price tag. The line features chic and stylish scarves “wearable art” which allow women to take part in Marrero’s glamorous and whimsical vision of fashion and femininity.
He has appeared in many TV shows as a fashion critic and now joins Avessa as a Creative Director. Marrero hosts TRENDENCIAS were he reports in the world of fashion, beauty & entertainment.
